New Investor
Viocorp is proud to announce a new investor and board member in Peter Holmes à Court. This represents a significant step in our growth as the investment enables us to take our Viostream video publishing solution to market and capitalise on the ever-increasing demand for online video. And as we practise the digital media we preach; the announcement of the investment to the media was made in the form of a Digital Press Release.

Viocorp to broadcast UTI Track Cycling World Masters Championships 2007
For a long time now, Viocorp has been promoting a new model of event broadcasting based around low cost yet high quality production values delivered using the net. A move into this is Viocorp’s recent announcement as the official video producer and broadcaster for this year’s Cycling World Masters championships. Viocorp will be offering coverage and global distribution of the event via the internet over the Viostream platform on a pay per view basis. Coverage will include every session throughout the WMC 2007 and interviews with athletes.
Viocorp’s Managing Director has ridden over
10,000km this year in preparation for the event. He rides the kilometre
time trial in the 35-39 year category on Tuesday 16 October. Good luck
Ian.
User-Generated Content sites use Viostream as back-end transcoding and serving engine
UGC is a hot topic at the moment, and Viostream has a UGC module available for websites, to offer a one-click UGC service. A user simply presses 'browse' on the website to find the content on their hard drive, and presses 'Submit'. This uploads the file to the Viostream servers which encode the content into the website’s preferred output (Flash, Windows Media, podcasts) whatever it might be.

Ian, and the two Nick's enjoyed the night which was opened by Jade Macrae, and hosted by Adam Spencer.
Above; Nick B met the lovely Jessica Maxwell from NetworkPR who had done a press interview in SecondLife which sounded pretty mad at the time (or was that the effect of the free booze!)
